        "title": "Photos of the week — 22-28 June",
        "content_html": "<p>We went to Iceland for a few days, where we spent most of the time on various excursions. In other words, very little time for photography. But I think that being on these excursions have a big advantage: you get to &ldquo;know&rdquo; quite a few places in a very short time. So the next time you travel to Iceland, you can rent a camper, travel around and spending a lot more time at the various places … and of course travel to places you never had the chance to see.</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://eu.uploads.micro.blog/349227/2026/b7.jpg\" alt=\"\"></p>\n<p>This &ldquo;canyon&rdquo; was much more impressive in real life, I didn&rsquo;t manage to catch how it really looked/felt like.</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://eu.uploads.micro.blog/349227/2026/b4.jpg\" alt=\"\"></p>\n<p>A statue of <a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C3%A1r%C3%B0ar_saga_Sn%C3%A6fells%C3%A1ss\">Baldur</a></p>\n<p><img src=\"https://eu.uploads.micro.blog/349227/2026/b3.jpg\" alt=\"\"></p>\n<p>I would liked to have tried various angles, but I also wanted to stay alive so this is what you get.</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://eu.uploads.micro.blog/349227/2026/b5.jpg\" alt=\"\"></p>\n<p>This is the church you can see when you test your eyes. I wanted to take a photo where you can see the road leading up to the church &hellip; but there were always Chinese tourists standing there, taking selfies of themselves, so I never got the chance.</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://eu.uploads.micro.blog/349227/2026/b6.jpg\" alt=\"\"></p>\n<p>I&rsquo;m pretty sure there are 1000s of photos of this mountain, <a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirkjufell\">Kirkjufell</a>, from this specific angle. But just to prove that I&rsquo;ve been there also. Below another angle of the waterfall</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://eu.uploads.micro.blog/349227/2026/b8.jpg\" alt=\"\"></p>\n<p>We also went to <a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vestmannaeyjar\">Vestmannaeyjar</a> to see the puffins (sorry, no photos since I didn&rsquo;t have a camera with a telephoto lens) and just look around. A beautiful place.</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://eu.uploads.micro.blog/349227/2026/b2.jpg\" alt=\"\"></p>\n<p>Apart from the puffins, we also went to the museum of the <a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eldfell\">Eldfell</a> eruption &hellip; a little bit like a modern <a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pompeii\">Pompejii</a> &hellip; plus that we climbed the volcano itself</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://eu.uploads.micro.blog/349227/2026/b1.jpg\" alt=\"\"></p>\n",

        "content_html": "<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>I should have written this for a long time ago, but life happened. Well, I travelled to the UK in Juli 2025. And as an experiment, I decided to take the train. Based on many, many previous experiences I expected all kinds of problems, but everything went very smoothly.         "title": "I was wrong, Sean Tucker was right",
        "content_html": "<p>Yesterday, I started to read <a href=\"https://www.seantucker.photography/store/digital-magazine-parable-06-merely-players-pdf-audio\">Sean Tucker’s Parable 6</a> which talks about different personas we take on. I came to the sentence.</p>\n<blockquote>Every London photographer knows Soho George, for example, and we all have shots of him somewhere in our back catalogue.</blockquote>\n<p>– Ha, I’m not a real London photographer, but I was in London last week, and I have no photos of this guy. I don’t even know who he is.</p>\n<p>But he seemed to be an interesting character, so I did a search, and found quite a few pages about him. For example, <a href=\"https://www.mylondon.news/news/nostalgia/1960s-london-legend-soho-george-24889576\">this article</a>. And when I took a closer look … I recognised him at once, it’s the man I noticed when I was walking around in SoHo, and since I liked his style I took a picture.</p>\n<p>So, I need to change my mind, Sean was right, if you have been in London and taken some photos in the SoHo area, you probably have a photo of SoHo George.</p>\n<img src=\"https://jemostrom.micro.blog/uploads/2026/887a9463f1.jpg\"> \n",
